Kim Allman
Kim Allman is the Interim Executive Director at the New York Mortgage Coalition. She is a strategist, thought partner, and public speaker with 20 years of experience developing innovative programs focused on improving socioeconomic mobility and helping people build wealth. Kim returns to the New York Mortgage Coalition where she previously served as the Deputy Director.
Kim is the Principal at The Allman Group, LLC, a social impact consultancy that works with mission-oriented organizations to develop products and programs that support financial health and economic opportunity.
She previously worked at Capital One on the Community Impact and Investment team, leading national strategy for financial well-being, racial equity, and social justice.
Kim ran her own financial planning firm and began her career as a funds attorney, advising clients on investment products at Sidley Austin LLP. She has a bachelor’s degree from Duke University and a J.D. from Cornell University Law School. She also holds a certificate in financial planning from Boston University.
Kim is a skilled and well-regarded public speaker with a wealth of knowledge on personal finance and leadership. She was a spokesperson at Capital One and has spoken at events such as SXSW, Black Girl Magic Summit, the Bank Policy Institute, National Foundation for Credit Counseling, and Cornell University Law School. She has also been featured in various publications including Triple Pundit, Black Enterprise, and ForbesWoman.
She serves as a board member and secretary of Working Credit, a nonprofit, is on the executive committee for the My Brother's Keeper | My Sister's Keeper Fellowship Summit, and is a founding member of My Founder’s Keeper.
